New Delhi, July 17 -- In a tragic incident, a 54-year-old man lost his life after falling inside a shaft at the Mayapuri Metro station in West Delhi, the police said on Friday.
He has been identified as Ramesh, who was doing the routine cleaning of the Signaling and Telecommunication shaft (S&T Shaft), and had allegedly fallen due to some issue with the Gypsum board in the shaft, following which he had sustained severe injury.
He was immediately rushed to the DDU hospital, where the doctor declared him brought dead. The deceased was an employee of a support services organization, a housekeeping agency and was deployed at the Mayapuri Metro station.
