Naresh KumarSangrur, Aug. 5 -- Punjab Police arrested a man within six hours of allegedly opening fire in the air outside a woman's house in Sangrur, creating panic in a residential locality, a police officer said on Tuesday.

Addressing a press conference, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Dalbir Singh Sidhu said the accused, identified as Mandeep Singh alias Soni, allegedly fired three rounds in the air from his licensed .32 bore revolver outside a house in Guru Teg Bahadur Colony on Monday night.

According to the DSP, the incident was linked to a family dispute.
