Chennai, July 28 -- An US-based techie, who was arrested at the Anna International airport a couple of days back on charges of creating fake email accounts and issuing over 1,500 hoax bomb threat emails over the past two years, was remanded to six days of police custody by the George Town Court on Tuesday.

The accused, identified as Sarath Subramanian was arrested arrested at the Chennai airport by the Tamil Nadu Anti-Terrorism Squad following a detailed investigation into a series of hoax bomb threat emails that had caused widespread alarm and endangered public peace.
