Mumbai, July 20 -- Maharashtra police's Cyber cell has arrested a 34-year-old man from Pune district for allegedly creating and circulating an objectionable morphed image of Maharashtra minister Girish Mahajan on Facebook, police said today.
The accused has been identified as Bharat Balaji Mhaske (34), a native of Gondi Khurd village in Beed district who was residing in Indapur in Pune district. He was apprehended by Jalgaon Cyber Police on Sunday following a technical investigation carried out by them.
According to police, Mhaske allegedly uploaded a digitally manipulated image showing Mahajan with a young woman on his Facebook account and circulated it on social media, following which the post went viral. The image was allegedly intende...
