Kolkata, May 27 -- On a day the Supreme Court (SC) upheld the validity of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Rajya Sabha MP Rahul Sinha said TMC leader and former chief minister Mamata Banerjee, and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi should apologise to the people for terming the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process "illegal".

"Since the Supreme Court has upheld the validity of the SIR today, Mamata Banerjee should apologise to the voters of Bengal The court has made its position clear.
