Kolkata, Sept. 13 -- The Mamata Banerjee-led camp of the Trinamool Congress on Sunday announced its candidates for the October 6 by-elections to Nandigram and Rejinagar Assembly constituencies, amid an ongoing dispute with the Ritabrata Banerjee camp over control of the party and its election symbol.
Sanchita Pradhan (De) has been named the candidate for Nandigram, while former MLA Rabiul Alam Chowdhury will contest from Rejinagar.
The Kalighat Trinamool leadership congratulated both candidates and said the party would fight the bypolls under the guidance and inspiration of its leader, keeping people's aspirations at the centre of its campaign.
The Ritabrata camp is expected to announce its candidates for both constituencies on Monday.
