Kolkata, Aug. 11 -- A couple of days after former chief minister Mamata Banerjee became of victim of public slur in Halisahar in North 24 Parganas, the Trinamool Congress supremo was again allegedly targeted with 'chor' (thief) slogans while returning from a programme to pay tribute to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose at Shyambazar in North Kolkata on Tuesday.
The protesters, allegedly supporters of the BJP, raised slogans questioning Banerjee's participation in the garlanding of Netaji's statue.
They reportedly shouted, "Those whose hands are smeared with black stain should not garland Netaji. They also shouted "Chor Chor" (Thief Thief) targeting the three time chief minister of the state."The incident triggered a commotion and political tensi...
