Kolkata, June 1 -- : Mamata Banerjee launched a sharp attack on the BJP, alleging that systematic efforts are being made to weaken the Trinamool Congress (TMC) by putting pressure on the party's leaders and legislators to defect.
The allegation comes hours after Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari alleged that there was large-scale signature forgery regarding the selection of the Leader of the Opposition in the State Assembly, which forced the TMC to expel two of the MLAs - Ritabrata Banerjee and Sandipan Saha.
Speaking during a Facebook Live session on Monday, the former West Bengal Chief Minister claimed that TMC MLAs are being contacted and intimidated through a coordinated process.
