New Delhi, June 10 -- In the latest development in the Malviya Nagar fire tragedy that claimed 22 lives, a Delhi court in Saket on Wednesday sent Lovkesh Bajaj, owner of the Flourish Stay Guest House, and accountant Jai Mishra to judicial custody.
During the hearing, Delhi Police informed the court that a confrontation between the two accused was necessary as part of the ongoing investigation. According to the police, face-to-face questioning was required to verify facts and examine their respective roles in the case.
The investigating agency also told the court that it may seek further police custody of the accused if required during the course of the investigation.
