Mysuru, April 15 -- Women's reservation legislation is set for a decisive push as the special session of Parliament begins on April 16, with BJP leader and State Vice-President Malavika Avinash describing the move as a "global milestone" for women's empowerment and a defining step towards a women-led development model.

Speaking to media persons at the BJP district office in Mysuru on Wednesday, Malvika said the proposed 33 per cent reservation for women in legislative bodies under the "Nari Shakti Vandan" initiative reflects the broader vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, where women's leadership is placed at the centre of governance and nation-building.
