Pune, April 16 -- The Women and Child Development Department of the Zilla Parishad has registered 32,646 new beneficiaries on the Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana portal.
This has provided significant relief to pregnant women, and the step is considered important in ensuring that the scheme reaches more eligible women, said a government release.
In the rural areas of the district, 4,395 Anganwadi centers are operational, while 1,699 are in urban areas, making a total of 6,094 centers.
The distribution of newly registered 32,646 beneficiaries includes: 10,034 under Pune Municipal Corporation, 3,710 under Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation, 952 in Ambegaon taluka, 1,755 in Baramati, 523 in Bhor, 1,514 in Daund, 2,055 in Haveli, 1...
