Chandigarh, July 1 -- A major security breach has surfaced at Amritsar Central Jail after prison authorities recovered narcotic substances, prohibited items and a mobile phone from a jail warder during a search operation.
Police have registered a case against the warder and an undertrial inmate under the NDPS Act and the Prisons Act, while launching a detailed investigation into the suspected racket.
According to police, the recovery was made during the frisking of jail warder Robinpreet Singh while he was on duty inside the Central Jail at Fatehpur, Amritsar.
