Kanpur/Lucknow, Aug. 23 -- Ahead of the upcoming festivals, the Food Safety and Drug Administration (FSDA) conducted a major enforcement campaign against adulteration in milk and milk products, particularly khoya, in Kanpur Dehat and Kanpur Nagar.
Under the directions of Food Safety and Drug Administration Commissioner Dr Roshan Jacob and the supervision of Additional Commissioner Rekha S. Chauhan, 24 state-level enforcement teams conducted intensive inspections at various khoya manufacturing units and major khoya markets.
During the campaign, suspected adulterants were recovered, a large quantity of khoya was destroyed and an FIR was registered in one case in Kanpur Dehat.
