New Delhi, July 13 -- The Delhi government has officially renamed its flagship 'Mahila Samriddhi Yojana' as the 'Delhi Lakshmi Yojana,' which is an ambitious initiative aimed towards strengthening financial independence, self-reliance, and dignity of women in the national capital.

To ensure the scheme is implemented effectively and is on schedule, the Chief Minister on Monday chaired a high-level review meeting with senior officials concerned at the Delhi secretariat.

According to officials, the rollout of the scheme is targeted to be around Raksha Bandhan.

Under the scheme, eligible women between the ages of 21 and 60 will receive financial assistance of Rs 2,500 on a monthly basis every month, and the scheme is expected to be launched ...
