Mumbai, Aug. 25 -- Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has pulled up ruling alliance partners over public disagreements, laying down a strict code of conduct at a high-stakes Mahayuti coordination meeting held at his official residence, Varsha, late Monday night.
According to senior leader Chandrashekhar Bawankule, the meeting, attended by Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Sunetra Pawar and senior leaders of all 12 alliance constituents, stressed the need for a united public front. Leaders and legislators were instructed not to make contradictory statements or publicly target alliance partners.
