Mumbai, Aug. 6 -- Cracks are emerging within Maharashtra's ruling Mahayuti alliance, with pressure mounting on Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to relinquish control of the state's key finance portfolio, a position that has become a source of growing tension between coalition partners.
The tensions intensified after Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader and former MLC Amol Mitkari publicly questioned the delay in transferring the finance ministry back to the party, citing an earlier commitment made by the alliance leadership.
