Mumbai, June 24 -- In a major move to protect women in the corporate and IT sectors, the Maharashtra government on Wednesday announced the formation of a special committee consisting of female legislators to address concerns regarding harassment, forced religious conversions, and exploitation.

The announcement was made by Chief Minister and Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis in the Legislative Council following a debate initiated by BJP leader Chitra Wagh.
