Mumbai, July 7 -- The Maharashtra government has announced a concerted effort to address the mounting backlog of cases in the state's judicial system, with Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis assuring the Legislative Assembly that the state is committed to filling vacant judicial posts on an urgent basis.
Speaking during the ongoing session, Fadnavis stated that the state government is set to initiate high-level coordination with the Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court to expedite the appointment and promotion of judges. He indicated that this issue would be taken up as a priority during the next formal meeting between the Chief Minister and the Chief Justice.
