Mumbai, May 21 -- The Maharashtra Transport Department has extended the deadline for installation of High Security Registration Plates (HSRP) on vehicles and announced June 30 as the new last date for compliance.
The department stated that the extension was granted to provide additional time to citizens and to ensure installation of HSRP on all remaining eligible vehicles across the state.
According to Raigadh Assistant Regional Transport Officer Nilesh Dhote, the extension has been issued under a circular released by the Mumbai Transport Commissioner's office on August 14, 2025. He appealed to all vehicle owners to complete installation of High Security Registration Plates within the revised deadline.
