Nagpur, July 23 -- : The statewide bandh called by the Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA) on Thursday, protesting over NEET paper leak and the alleged police lathi-charge on students during a demonstration at Delhi's Jantar Mantar, evoked good response across Maharashtra.
The shutdown triggered demonstrations and disruptions in several parts of the state.
Akola, Yavatmal and Gadchiroli witnessed a near-complete shutdown, with shops, commercial establishments and markets remaining closed.
Several educational institutions also suspended operations.
Public transport services were partially affected, while essential services continued to function normally.
