Mumbai , Aug. 24 -- Police have registered a case against two men for allegedly impersonating Food and Drug Administration (FDA) officials and attempting to intimidate and extort a country liquor shop operator under the guise of conducting a licence inspection in neighbouring Palghar district, police said on Monday.
The accused have been identified as Kunal Bhoir and Udayesh Bhoir, both residents of Alonde village in Vikramgad taluka.
According to police sources, the duo allegedly entered a country liquor shop and claimed to be FDA officials conducting an inspection of the establishment's licences and permits.
