Mumbai, Aug. 31 -- As Maratha quota activist Manoj Jarange Patil launches his 11th indefinite hunger strike amid counter-mobilisation threats from the OBC community, senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader MP Ashok Chavan has stepped in with a strong appeal for calm, urging both sides to abandon the path of agitation in favour of structured dialogue.
Addressing the media on the escalating friction, Chavan emphasised that the state government has consistently demonstrated its commitment to delivering justice to the Maratha community.
