Pune, July 29 -- The Maharashtra Youth Congress staged a protest outside Pune Municipal Corporation demanding a thorough investigation into alleged irregularities in the recruitment of Drug Inspectors through the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC).
The protest was led by Maharashtra Youth Congress President Shivraj Dada More.
The protesters marched from Congress Bhavan to the PMC headquarters.
Police stopped the march en route, following which Youth Congress workers raised slogans and registered their protest.
Addressing the gathering after the protest, More said a comprehensive and impartial investigation into the alleged recruitment scam was imperative, claiming that new information was emerging on the matter every day.
