Mumbai, Aug. 6 -- In a major employment outreach initiative, the Maharashtra government has decided to organise 1,000 job fairs across the state by March 31, 2027, to create greater employment opportunities for young job seekers.

The Skill Development, Employment, Entrepreneurship and Innovation Department has directed officials to ensure that information about these job fairs reaches unemployed youth on a large scale.

The roadmap was finalised at a meeting of the State-Level Employment Fair Committee chaired by Dr. Ranjit Patil.
