Nashik, Feb. 26 -- The Mahayuti government has stepped up preparations for the 2027 Simhastha Kumbh Mela, assigning the Nashik-Trimbakeshwar Kumbh Mela Authority and Public Works Department (PWD) officials the responsibility of executing key infrastructure projects for the mega religious event.

PWD Chief Engineer Prashant Auti, Superintending Engineer Arundhati Sharma, Executive Engineers Rahul Patil and Navnath Sonawane will oversee the planning, coordination, and implementation of major works in and around Nashik and Trimbakeshwar.

In a significant move to fast-track development, the government has reduced the mandatory land acquisition requirement for floating tenders for the proposed ring road project from 100 per cent to 50 per cent....
