Pune, June 16 -- Shiv Sena (Shinde) leader and former Deputy Chairperson of the Maharashtra Legislative Council, Dr. Neelam Gorhe,informed that the Maharashtra government is preparing to implement a policy for single women in the near future.
Speaking at a function organized yesterday by the Maharashtra Sahitya Parishad, Pune, to present the prestigious Joshi Award to author Vidya Devdhar for her book Women's Contribution to Law-Making, she praised the decision taken during the tenure of former chief minister Eknath Shinde to include the mother's name in official records, calling it a meaningful step toward honouring women.
