Kolhapur, May 8 -- The Maharashtra government today issued a revised notification for the proposed Shaktipeeth Highway between Wardha and Sindhudurg (Patradevi) with 78 villages in eight talukas of Kolhapur district being included in this highway.
These include villages in Karvir, Panhala, Hatkanangle, Radhanagari, Kagal, Bhudargad, Ajra and Chandgad talukas of the district.
The new alignment of the highway has been decided as per the notification published in the Maharashtra Government Gazette.
According to the notification, this proposed greenfield expressway is about 802.6 km long and will connect 12 districts of Maharashtra.
This highway will be constructed between Nagpur and Goa.
