Mumbai, Aug. 21 -- The Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has suspended the licences of 13 food establishments and seized food products worth over Rs 26.41 lakh during a two-day statewide enforcement drive against food safety violations.

The special drive was conducted on August 19 and 20, during which 22 raids were carried out across the state targeting milk and dairy products, bakery items, edible oils and other food articles, the FDA said in a release.

The department seized 2,348 kg of dairy products and powder and 902 litres of adulterated milk valued at Rs 5.04 lakh. At Bhaskar Dairy in Mahape, Navi Mumbai, officials confiscated another 1,309 kg/litre of dairy products worth Rs 2.23 lakh.
