Chandrapur, July 10 -- : A 30-year-old youth was killed in a suspected wild animal attack in a forest area of Chandrapur district , marking the 25th death due to human-wildlife conflict in the district this year, officials said on Friday.
The deceased, identified as Anil Divate, a resident of Ballarpur, had entered the Padmapur forest area under the Bhuj forest range of South Chandrapur Forest Division to collect wild vegetables when the animal attacked him on Thursday.
The victim sustained serious injuries and died on the spot.
Forest officials reached the area after receiving information about the incident and began an investigation.
