Bhandara, April 1 -- Panic has gripped parts of Maharashtra's Bhandara district after a series of tiger attacks in Sakoli taluka, with a woman seriously injured in the latest incident reported from Amgaon village on Wednesday.

According to sources, the victim, identified as Chhaya Mungmode, was attacked by a tiger on Wednesday around 10 am while working in the agricultural fields.

She sustained grievous injuries to her neck and ear and was immediately rushed to the Sakoli sub-district hospital.

Her condition is stated to be critical.

This marks the third such incident in the past 15 days, triggering fear and anger among local residents.
