Gadchiroli, July 13 -- : A grim picture of healthcare challenges in Maharashtra's remote Bhamragarh tehsil emerged again as villagers carried a critically ill youth on a cot for nearly three kilometres amid heavy rains and disrupted road connectivity before he could be shifted to a hospital, source said .

The incident occurred in Bangadi village, where 29-year-old Santosh Jetty reportedly developed severe complications due to a urinary infection late on Sunday night.

With roads submerged and muddy due to incessant rainfall and ambulance services unable to reach the village, locals carried him on a cot through difficult terrain using mobile phone lights.
