Mumbai, Aug. 21 -- Two teenage boys died by drowning while swimming in a water tank at a cattle shed in Gautam Nagar, Aarey Colony in Goregaon suburb of the city today, officials said.
The incident was reported to the Police Control Room around 1155 am from the vicinity of Modern Bakery Junction in Goregaon (East), following which personnel from the Mumbai Fire Brigade, police, 108 Ambulance services and ward staff rushed to the spot.
The rescue teams retrieved the two boys from the water tank and immediately shifted them to Trauma Care Hospital for medical attention. However, both were declared "brought dead" by the attending doctor at HBT Hospital around 1348 pm, officials said.
