Pune, March 15 -- Two people were injured after a speeding car plunged nearly 80 feet into a deep gorge in the Pirangut Ghat section of Pune today.
The incident took place in the hilly stretch near Pirangut in Mulshi, causing panic among motorists passing through the area.
According to preliminary information, the driver lost control of the vehicle while navigating the Ghat road, resulting in the car veering off the road and falling into the valley below. The impact of the fall left the vehicle badly damaged.
Two people travelling in the car sustained injuries in the accident. Local residents and passersby rushed to the spot and alerted authorities.
