Solapur, June 30 -- In a major breakthrough, the Solapur City Crime Branch has arrested two history-sheeters involved in an alleged burglary after examining nearly 300 CCTV recordings.

The accused, identified as Surjitsingh Tak and Manjit Kumar, were traced and taken into custody from Pune.

During the operation, police recovered 217 grams of gold jewellery and Rs 1.20 lakh in cash, with the total value of the seized property estimated at Rs 10.63 lakh.

Apart from the two main accused, police have also arrested three other individuals for allegedly purchasing the stolen gold ornaments.
