Chandrapur, April 13 -- An elderly woman was killed in a tiger attack while she had gone to collect mahua (moha) flowers in the forest area of Sindewahi tehsil of Maharashtra's Chandrapur district.
According to reports, Vachhala Iswar Wadgure(65) ventured into the forest for gathering mahua flowers on Monday morning when a tiger, which was lying in wait, suddenly attacked her. She died on the spot due to the severe injuries sustained in the attack.
When the woman did not return home for a long time, her family members and villagers began searching for her.
During the search operation, her mutilated body was found in the forest area.
