Kolhapur, May 14 -- In an unfortunate incident, three schoolgirls drowned in a dam at Karul village in Vaibhavwadi taluka of Sindhudurg district today evening.
According to sources in Vaibhavwadi police, a group of five schoolgirls had gone to the dam at Karul to bathe. Three of them drowned as they could not fathom the depth of the water while people nearby successfully rescued two others.
