Yavatmal, Aug. 17 -- : Three college students drowned in the Takli Dam in Yavatmal district of Maharashtra on Monday, police said.
According to police, the three students drowned while they had gone swimming in Takli Lake, located on the outskirts of the city.
The incident occurred at around 4 pm on Monday.
Following that a rescue team launched a search operation in the lake and the bodies of all three students were recovered around 7.30 pm.
The deceased have been identified as Piyush Vinod Yadav (19), a resident of Pimpalgaon; Prathamesh Sunil Yadav (19), a resident of Balaji Park, Pimpalgaon; and Prasad Nitin Satpute (19), a resident of Borgaonpunji in Arni taluka.
All three were studying BSc Computer Science at Jaju College.
