Wardha, May 18 -- Police in Maharashtra's Wardha district have approached the Central Ammunition Depot (CAD) in Pulgaon seeking custody of Major Manan Tiwari, who has been accused of fatally shooting a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) during a routine firing drill, officials said today.
The incident took place on May 15 at the Pulgaon firing range, where Defence Security Corps JCO, Subedar Major Om Bahadur Khand, lost his life during what authorities described as an "incident" amid firing practice.
Following the episode, Major Tiwari was detained by CAD officials.
