Amravati, June 6 -- In a major crackdown to maintain law and order, Daryapur police arrested six youths for allegedly creating panic by celebrating a birthday with swords and sharp weapons in the city and seized valuables worth Rs 13.81 lakh from their possession, officials said today.
Acting on a tip-off received on June 5, police learned that a group of youths from the Avdhut Nagar area of Banoosa were moving in four-wheelers and two-wheelers carrying swords, knives and sticks while raising slogans to celebrate a friend's birthday.
