Wardha, July 20 -- : Six people were burnt alive after a container truck overturned and rammed into a car from behind in Maharashtra's Wardha district on early Monday.
The two vehicles caught fire and four members of a family travelling in the car, the truck driver and his helper were charred to death.
The accident occurred on the Samruddhi Expressway connecting Mumbai and Nagpur.
According to the preliminary investigation, an ethanol-laden tanker had earlier met with an accident, resulting in a fuel spill. Traffic was subsequently diverted to the other carriageway.
