Mumbai, May 9 -- Expressing concern over increasing crime rates in the state, Shiv Sena (UBT) today raised questions over the BJP-led Mahayuti government's claims of maintaining a "safe Maharashtra".
In a post shared on social media platform X along with a video, the situation relating to crime in the state was described as "shocking" and "worrying".
Multiple recent criminal incidents were referred to in the message, and allegations were made that law and order control in the state had weakened under the present administration.
The ruling dispensation was also criticised over alleged political interference and inefficiency in policing, due to which, it was claimed, a sense of insecurity had developed among common citizens.
