Mumbai, March 14 -- Shiv Sena (UBT) has criticised the BJP_led central government over the growing shortage of cooking gas cylinders in several parts of the country, alleging that official claims of adequate supply do not match the situation on the ground.

The criticism appeared in a strongly worded editorial published today in the party's official mouthpiece 'Saamana', which said the hardship being faced by households, businesses and institutions contradicts government assurances that there is no shortage.
