Mumbai, June 26 -- Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde's son Shrikant Shinde, who is a Lok Sabha MP representing Kalyan, is likely to be made a minister in the central government, sources said here today.
Sources said that the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena is bargaining for a berth in the union ministry for Shrikant Shinde amidst a buzz about a likely reshuffle of the union Cabinet in the coming days.
Shrikant Shinde is a 39-year-old orthopaedic surgeon-turned-Lok Sabha MP who has been credited with playing a "central role" in 'Operation Tiger', which led to the defection of 6 rebel Uddhav Thackeray-led Sena MPs to the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena recently.
