Mumbai, Aug. 15 -- Seven persons were hospitlised after they inhaled smoke following a fire in a residential building in western suburb of Bandra (West) today morning, civic officials said.
According to the Mumbai Fire Brigade, the fire was reported at 1023 a.m. in B Wing of M K Chembur, a seven-storey building on Station Road in Bandra (West).
Firefighters brought the blaze under control and fully extinguished it by 1049 a.m., the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation said in an update.
The seven affected persons were taken to Bandra Bhabha Hospital with complaints of suffocation.
