Mumbai, Sept. 8 -- Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut today accused Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis of "sitting on the fence" and failing to take action against festivity-related deafening disc jockey (DJ) din while speaking to media persons here.
The high-decibel noise pollution issue ended up getting politicised after a Pune-based citizen called Vidyanand Bapat was physically assaulted on September 3 for allegedly speaking against the Ganesh festival, after he spoke to a TV news channel against festivity-related noise pollution.
