Pune, July 18 -- Dr. Hulgesh Chalwadi, State Vice-President of the Republican Party of India (RPI-Athawale), today welcomed the directives issued by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis during the recent meeting of the State-Level Vigilance and Monitoring Committee regarding the implementation of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.
The directives focus on increasing conviction rates in cases registered under the Act, establishing fast-track courts, strengthening investigation procedures and ensuring witness protection.
Dr. Chalwadi also reiterated that under the leadership of union Minister of State Ramdas Athawale, the RPI has consistently stood firmly behind victims seeking justice.
