Mumbai, June 25 -- The Government Railway Police (GRP) has arrested a 30-year-old man within 15 hours of the fatal stabbing of a male passenger inside a Mumbai suburban train after tracking his movements through an extensive CCTV network and identifying him from the logo on his shirt.
The accused, identified as Roshan Suvarna, a resident of Mira Bhayandar, was arrested from Panvel in connection with the murder of 22-year-old Mayank Ramesh Lohar, who was allegedly stabbed during an altercation inside a Churchgate-Nalasopara fast local train on Tuesday night.
According to investigators, Suvarna was employed at a cargo handling company near Mumbai airport, where he worked in barcode-related operations along with his father and brother. Durin...
