Nashik, April 12 -- Maharashtra Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule, acting upon the directives of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, has made it mandatory for an officer of the Revenue Department to serve in their parent department for a minimum of three years after completing a deputation, before becoming eligible for another deputation.

He took this decision in view of the Gazetted Officers within the Revenue Department frequently undertaking long-term deputations to other departments or corporations, thus often adversely affecting the functioning of the parent department.

As per the new guidelines,:the officers will initially be permitted to go on deputation for a maximum period of three years only.
