Pune, Sept. 14 -- The historic Ganeshotsav in Pune began on Monday with the ceremonial arrival and installation of the city's five revered 'Manache Ganpati', as thousands of devotees gathered to witness the traditional processions and religious ceremonies.
The arrival processions of the five prestigious Ganesh idols - Kasba Ganpati, Tambdi Jogeshwari Ganpati, Guruji Talim Ganpati, Tulshibaug Ganpati and Kesariwada Ganpati - were taken out through the old city amid the chanting of devotees and performances by traditional dhol-tasha and lezim troupes.
