Mumbai, July 19 -- Bhandup Police have unearthed an ATM fraud racket with arrest of a youth who along with his accomplices allegedly cheated customers by blocking cash from being dispensed through ATM machines using plastic strips.

One accused has been arrested, while notices have been issued to two women allegedly linked to the crime, police said on Sunday.

The racket came to light after the manager of the Bank of Baroda's Bhandup branch lodged a complaint stating that several customers had reported that although the transaction amount was debited from their accounts, no cash was dispensed from the ATM. The bank received five such complaints.
